Accessible Kayak Launch: The launch is designed for all kayak and paddle craft users but is also accessible to people who may utilize a wheelchair or have mobility challenges. It also doubles as a new courtesy dock, replacing a 30-year-old structure.
Playground
Our new Universal Playground, which opened in Summer 2020, is a complete makeover from the previous playground that sat on the same site. This new area now includes play structures that allow children of all abilities to play together and at the same time. It is our goal that the Inclusive Playground is able to create a welcoming and open environment to a level that we previously did not have, creating connections between people who before may have not had the chance to interact and become friends.
History: The portion of the playground which is located in the center of the existing playground for ages 2-12 was installed in 2012. A new playground was installed in 2017 for ages 2-12 on the left side of the facility, which replaced the original playground which was installed in 1991.
