Madison County Special Olympics

The Madison County Special Olympics (SOKY) in conjunction with Richmond Parks and Recreation's Special Needs Activities and Programs (SNAP) offers many different sports leagues, activities, and dances throughout the year for people with various ability levels.

Basketball

Season begins in November with practices (Richmond), league games (Georgetown), Regional competition (Florence) and State competition (Louisville). The deadline for joining the team is early November. 

Softball

Season begins in June with practices (Richmond), league games (Georgetown), Regional competition (Georgetown) and State competition (Bowling Green). The deadline for joining the team is early June.

Track & Field

Season begins in March with practices (Richmond), Regional competition (Georgetown) and State competition @ EKU (Richmond). The deadline for joining the team is mid-March.

Season begins in March with practices (Richmond), Regional competition (Erlanger) and State competition @ EKU (Richmond). The deadline for joining the team is early March.

Golf

Season begins in May with practices (Richmond), Regional competition (Independence) and State competition (Louisville). The deadline for joining the team is mid May.

Bowling

Season begins in August with practices (Richmond), Regional competition (Lexington) and State competition (Louisville). The deadline for joining the team is early August.

Cheerleading

Spring 2022 Cheerleading practice is on Mondays from 6PM-7PM at the Richmond Teen Center (3252 N. Estill Ave).

Thursday, February 24th at TBA @ Georgetown (Will be performing at halftime)
