Richmond Teen Center Back to School Bash
August 14, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
The Richmond Teen Center Board will once again be hosting their Annual Back to School Bash where they will be giving away backpacks filled with a variety of school supplies. This event has always been a crucial and vital part of the Teen Center’s program schedule, providing those in need with the items that are needed to succeed in school. Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic the format of this year’s event is changing to make it safe for all participants.
The Back to School Bash will be at the Crabbe Street Parking Lot from 12pm – 4pm (the parking lot is located just below Irvine-McDowell Park). The backpacks are for all students from K-12 and contain notebooks, pencils, pens, folders, and a litany of other necessary materials for the upcoming school year. Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic the format of this year’s event is changing to make it safe for all participants.
As you enter the Crabbe Street Parking Lot you will be given a form to complete that includes information about the student’s age and school to help us quickly grab backpacks for them. After receiving the form you will complete it and return it to once it is your turn in the line. We will load the backpacks into your car, helping us cut down on interactions and potential infections. This entire event will be drive-thru and we ask that you do not leave your vehicle while in the parking lot. Due to the limited number of backpacks this will be a “first come first serve” event; we will be unable to hold or reserve any backpacks.
Another exciting aspect for this year is that Anthem Medicaid will be on site conducting a LAPTOP GIVEAWAY to one lucky student! So be sure to grab your chance win once you get here.
This event is “first come first serve” and as such we will not be able to guarantee that everyone who comes will be able to receive a backpack. Once given your backpack we will not accept exchanges at a later time or a return of a backpack.
