CLASS TITLE: Softball Umpires/Scorekeepers
DEPARTMENT: Parks and Recreation
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Adult Softball Umpires are needed to officiate league games for the Richmond Parks & Recreation Spring Adult Softball league. Applicants must be able to complete physical requirements for the position. Applicants must have a broad understanding of softball league rules and must be able to officiate either home plate or 2nd base. Appearance must be neat and clean and applicant must obtain proper attire before the beginning of the season for appropriate league(s). Scorekeeper Position must possess basic knowledge of softball rules and ability to write legibly and keep accurate time of games. Ability to use electronic score keeping devices and score sheets/books. Minimum age is 16 years old. Applicants may be subject to a background check.
