Due to COVID-19 the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department is making a few changes to the presentation of our Annual Christmas Parade. We will still be inviting members of the community to register to setup floats or Christmas Trees, but the format will be a “reverse” parade. Floats will be set up along a pre-determined route for guests to drive through and view. The parade will be at the Ann L. Durham Lake Reba Recreational Complex on December 5th. Please click HERE to register. If you have any issues registering please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 859-623-8753.

“The park should, as far as possible, complement the town. Openness is the one thing you cannot get in buildings . . . the beauty of the park should be the other. It should be the beauty of the fields, the meadow, the prairie, of the green pastures, and the still waters. What we want to gain is tranquility and rest to the mind."
Frederick Law Olmsted, “Public Parks and the Enlargement of Towns” February 25, 1870
