Parks & Recreation
The Richmond Parks and Recreation Department constantly endeavors to maintain all facilities, properties and programs at the highest level of quality in order to provide excellence to all who enjoy recreational opportunities in the City of Richmond. The Parks & Recreation strives to be an active department that engages the community, promotes wellness and offers recreational activities for everyone. The Parks Administration is located at Irvine McDowell Park, 345 Lancaster Avenue, Richmond, KY 40475. Their office hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.
The Richmond Tourism’s staff with the their Hospitality & Tourism Board strive to promote and advertise the city’s history, events, activities, and accommodations. They work hard to promote local economic growth and job creation by attracting tourists, coordinating funding and project development. The Richmond Visitor Center is located at 1613 Foxhaven Drive is here to serve you. Their office is stocked with lots of area literature, maps, and information, plus souvenirs t-shirts and post cards. Richmond Tourism’s Staff can suggest, guide, explain, advise, recommend, or simply offer a smiling face. They are open Monday-Friday from 8:00a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
